Equal Opportunity Statement
In our own hiring, and when we recommend candidates to clients, we decide on the basis of ability, experience and the real requirements of the role.
In line with Article 5(1) of the Employment Service Act, we do not treat job seekers or employees differently on the basis of race, class, language, thought, religion, political affiliation, place of origin, place of birth, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, appearance, facial features, disability, zodiac sign, blood type, or past trade union membership.
Under Article 7 of the Gender Equality in Employment Act, recruitment, selection, hiring, placement, performance evaluation and promotion must not differ by gender or sexual orientation, except where the nature of the work genuinely suits only one gender.
In practice
- We match candidates on job-relevant requirements only, not on photos, age or marital status.
- When a client's brief contains discriminatory requirements, we explain the law and help rewrite it. If the client insists, we decline the assignment. See our Preventing Discrimination page.
- We do not ask interview questions about family plans, religion, political views or other matters unrelated to the job.
- Mature workers, people returning to work, people with disabilities and candidates from all backgrounds are welcome, and are assessed by the same standards as everyone else.
If you feel you have been treated unfairly
Please email support@pelift.app. You can also file a complaint with the local government where the job is located, which is the authority for determining employment discrimination under Article 6(4) of the Employment Service Act.
